MAKEUP HACKS YOU SHOULD KNOW 2.0
I shared some makeup hacks some time ago click here and I noticed a lot of people liked the post so I decided to come up with more. I may update this from time to time when I come across more makeup hacks that will be useful to you.
SYNTHETIC LASHES TO MINK LASHES
Sounds like magic right? LOL This hack took social media by storm; I was surprised when I watched the video clip. Trust the YouTube beauty gurus already tried to debunk the hack. Some didn’t achieve the effect while some did. So I am going to share a video I watched that was successful.
Those that are anti-animal cruelty were excited, for one mink would be left alone but I don’t think that would work anyways.
HOW TO DO:
You would need a spooly or mascara wand and does cheap lashes that look very plastic. Then use your wand to brush vigorously from left to right following the lash’s curve. Brush from the roots upwards.
You can also try from beneath the lash upwards; you loosen up the hairs from the starch that was used to keep everything in place. Will you be trying this makeup hack out?
GLOSSY LIPSTICK TO MATTE LIPSTICK
This is an old makeup hack but I thought I should add it someone might need it. Sometimes we don’t need to own all the colours of the matte lipsticks in the shop. So this is what you do, get a matte eyeshadow that is the same colour with your glossy lipstick. Carefully apply the glossy lipstick, and then dab the matte eyeshadow or you can use a white setting powder over it. You can apply this with your fingers or a makeup brush.
POP THAT GLOW/HIGHLIGHT
Who doesn’t want to glow? I want to glow so much that it blinds my enemies. Well, maybe not that much LOL. Anyway, to make your highlighter pop you would have to use a makeup spray once you are done with your makeup. Then apply the highlighter whilst your face is still dewy.
LOOSE GLITTER WITHOUT FALL-OUTS
Nothing sucks like having fallouts while applying your loose glitters or loose eyeshadows or even those dusty eyeshadows. This gets to me a lot because I like to do my foundation first, then set while I do my eyeshadow application. I know some do the reverse but for me, I like my foundation to set on my face before I am done with my makeup.
HOW TO DO:
- You will need a cotton bud.
- Make the cotton bud damp
- Apply your glitter glue on your eyelids and allow it to get sticky. This helps to hold the glitter in place during application
- Pick up some glitter with your damp cotton bud.
- Carefully apply in a rolling motion to transfer the glitter to the glue you applied.
CURLY LASHES? HOW DO YOU APPLY FALSIES?
Personally, I have very curly lashes and I really don’t enjoy the process of fixing falsies. Then I stumbled on a video on youtube that showed how you can fix falsies if you have curly eyelashes.
HALLELUYAH! Finally! Someone thought of the curly lash sisters! This is the ultimate makeup hack, yes! I have been using it for the longest time but you have to do it right.
Here is what you do; warm up your lash curler with a blow dryer or your warm breath as though you want to blow on a glass till it’s warm, or you can use hot water from the tap.
Then flip the lash curler upside down, and then gradually uncurl your lashes to create space for your falsies. After uncurling your lashes proceed to fix your falsies like you would.
Blend with your lash curler but this time flips it back to the normal way, apply some mascara and go paint the town red! YASSS! Girl!
FENTY BEAUTY LAVA (DUPE)
So you know how I am always on the quest to find dupes or other cost-effective ways to achieve things. This is one of those finds that you will rock your work if you want to own a Fenty beauty product on a budget.
All you would be needing is a body oil such as almond oil or olive oil, your highlighter but you might have to crush it if you don’t have the loose pigment highlighter. Add the highlighter into the oil and shake properly. Apply as desired and glow away gurl!
I hope I have helped someone today with these makeup hacks? Do you have some hack of your own? Kindly share yours with me in the comments section.
